T-Minus 17 Days: We're making progress, folks!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Quite an exciting post tonight. I just heard back from our contractor that things are finally starting to take shape at Moxie 2.0. Sprinkler work will commence tomorrow, and, if everything goes smoothly, should be finished on Wednesday or before. If that's the case, the painters will come in on Thursday and start doing what they do best... PAINTING! We'll be meeting with our contractor, architect, and painter on Tuesday, and they've promised to have a finishing schedule for us by then.

T-Minus 18 Days: Stupid allergies

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Today has been a long one. Spent most of the day breaking down GONZO and THE WACKNESS, building up BRIDESHEAD REVISITED, and playing phone tag with about 40 different people. I didn't even get a chance to go over to our new space today, but luckily my dad did, and he reported back that progress was minimal. Slowly but surely, folks. Slowly but surely. I'm not complaining, mind you. I'm sure there are all sorts of people out there who read these posts and think to themselves, "if only my job were that easy!" Not complaining, just laying out my day for all to see.

T-Minus 19 Days: Are we already in the teens?! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Went to the new space today, but didn't see much visual progress. I know stuff was getting done, however, as there were several workers going from room to room, pushing and probing wires into the walls. Any progress is good progress at this point, whether I can immediately see it or not.

T-Minus 20 Days: A few pictures to tide you over on this day of Labor

FIRST PARAGRAPH: I hope everyone had a nice holiday vacation. Steve G., famed Moxie photog, has posted several new pictures of the progress at Moxie 2.0 -- check them out here! Despite having some sort of mental condition that causes him to be a Cubs fan, Steve takes some pretty nice pictures. Thanks again!

T-Minus 21 Days: What the heck happened to T-Minus 22?

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Seriously now. Who deleted the post I wrote last night in a fog of tiredness? I spent a good 10 minutes crafting a Pulitzer-worthy post, and now it's nowhere to be found. What gives?! Oh well. Not much went on yesterday anyhow.

T-Minus 23 Days: Progress ahoy!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: After not getting a chance to visit our new space yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to see the sheetrock crews in full swing this afternoon. Apparently they're not waiting on the sprinkler install any longer. Both auditoriums are nearly 100% sheetrocked, the bathrooms are starting to take shape, and all that lacks on the electrical work is installing switches and outlets. It's a good day indeed.

T-Minus 24 Days: Uh oh!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: I forgot to write a post last night! Sorry about that. I knew it would happen eventually, and it may very well happen again, but I'll try my hardest to stay on track. I was pretty bummed last night because the Cardinals lost a huge game, and we had a slow night at the theater. Double whammy. Hopefully tonight's post (two in one day!) will be more exciting than this little turd.

T-Minus 25 Days: I know my numbers are off

FIRST PARAGRAPH: We should really be on "T-Minus 23 Days," but since we're not counting the weekends for the time being, and we all know we won't be open when the countdown gets to zero, I thought I'd only subtract a day whenever I write a new post. Hopefully that won't confuse anyone.

T-Minus 26 Days: Sick Dan

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Not much to report today, mainly because I've been laid up with a cruddy summer cold. I took the night off tonight to convalesce, so I'm sure I'll be back on my feet tomorrow. Other than that, I wanted to mention two things:

T-Minus 27 Days: Not much today

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Today was pretty boring. I went over to the new space with my dad to make sure our measurements were correct for the bar. Not much in the way of progress at Moxie 2.0. I followed up on several of the chair leads from a couple days ago, and I think we may have found some sweet seats. I won't confirm them as THE seats until I hear back from a couple other dealers, so... that's about it.
